CAIR survey: Kamala Harris and Jill Stein in close competition among Muslim voters
Trump is still lagging behind in terms of receiving support from the Muslim community, with only about 10% expressing their approval of him, according to a CAIR survey.
As the American people look to elect their new president in November 2024, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which is CAIR, an organization fighting for the civil rights of Muslims in the United States, provided the last set of information regarding the voting preferences of Muslims.
The analysis carried out, under the CAIR framework director’s Julie’ McAuliffe persona, shows a close fight between Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Kamala Harris, seeing as only a difference of 2% exists between their scores, of 42.3% and 41%, respectively.
However, Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, seems to be struggling on the approval scale, considering that only 10% of American Muslims approve of him.
In a survey carried out on the 30th and 31st of October involving 1,449 registered Muslim voters, 95% of them declared their intention to vote in the coming elections.
The November election polls have an even split with a +/- 2.5% margin of error, which further shows the competitive nature between the candidates of a poll in CAIR’s August, where both participants achieved an equal score of 29%.
Survey results revealed:
• Alternatively, Kamala Harris (Democrats) manages to achieve about 41.0% of the votes
• Jill Stein of the Green Party remains in the lead, raking in 42.3% of the votes.
• Donald trump served his electoral mandate and has approximately 9.80% sympathies with him (Republican Party)
• The Chases of this world that are Oliver (from the Libertarian Party) earn about 0.06 percent of the votes
• Yet, there are still individuals that cannot decide whether or not to vote, raking about 0.09%
• Finally, approximately 5.4% of the voters do not want to vote.
CAIR national executive director Nihad Awad particularly appreciating the Muslims for taking part actively in the electoral process for a quarrel over the lessening of the Middle East Mess Effect.
