Nargis, a film and stage actor, has reportedly suffered abuse at the hands of her husband

On Friday, husband of film and stage actor Nargis, who is a police officer, reportedly tortured her in an apartment located in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA).

In an altered video broadcast on social media, the actor was shown bearing multiple injuries to her body, including her head, eyes and other parts.

Nargis, whose real name is Ghazala Idrees, worked as a highly-paid stage actress and her career spanned over 100 movies to her credit.

The complainant terming parents, Inspector Majid Bashir, with whom she has three daughters, have stated she was tortured physically and otherwise when she exercised her discretion against transferring her asset in his name.

Their allegation in the FIR is that their husband had allowed another woman, the ex-wife of a well-known TV personality, to live in their house (Nargis house) without her permission; it was allegations made by the actor. Furthermore, Ms. Bashir insisted on changing the property ownership of Ms. Farm House into his name.

The gun which Officer Majid Bashir had used to hit me caused bruises inside and outside of my eyes." She submitted this complaint against him in the FIR filed.

She claimed that her husband shoved the barrel of his gun into her mouth with the nightly intention of injuring her jaw.

The actor stated that Bashir was intent on seizing a prime nine-kanal plot, gold jewelry, and other valuables that belonged to her using armed force.

“I had to disregard the issues of domestic violence in spite of him bashing me up three times for the sake of our marriage because that was good for him all the time,” she added.

She claimed that on Friday, her husband surpassed “all limits,” assaulted her in front of her nephew and employees, and beat her black and blue, which included dragging and pulling her hair.

She accused that the suspect had even conspired to kill her and then said that he would frame her adversaries for it.

After a complaint Bashir was reported to SC suspended, as per his postings, he had already been closed to the police lines.

Awais Shafiq, SP Cantonment Division Operations, who briefed this reporter, said that Bashir was wanted and the police were making raids to arrest him.

This was the second reported case in Lahore of the barbaric torture of Nargis. Even earlier she was subjected to severe thrashing at the hands of dismissed police inspector Abid (boxer) in March of 2002, when she was still basking in her glory as an actress.

At her house in Johar Town, Lahore, she had caused 39 injuries to Nargis. Besides Ms. Nargis. Abid had additional head and eyebrow shaving, Ms. Nargis, as police documents indicate.
